Dear Families,

Thank you so much for participating in our virtual field day!!!

Daisy Ingraham Virtual Field Day

If you were worried that we were going to skip field day this year because we are all in our own homes, HAVE NO FEAR- FIELD DAY IS HERE!!!!!!

Daisy students and families will be participating in a national virtual field day on Friday, May 8th.  Just like our field day at Daisy, we will spend the entire day playing.  This year will be a little different.  We will be bringing field day to our homes!  Most of the materials needed for the activities can be found around the house.  If you do not have the necessary equipment please skip the activity. Below is a list of links and documents that will help you practice and prepare for the field day challenges on Friday. Parents, we hope that this does not add extra stress to your lives.  This is meant to be a fun family activity. I know it is not the same, but I hope you enjoy!

Hi Parents & Students,

Below is a list of exercises that your child can do to burn some energy.  Feel free to increase or decrease the challenge based on your child's level of fitness. Exercise should be fun and challenging.  No need to worry if it says to do 10 push ups and they can only do 1.  The key to success is effort!

If your child doesn't remember how to perform one of the tasks then a quick Google search should be able to help you find the answer to any questions about terms or exercises. As I continue to develop my web page, I will add more lessons, activities, games, and video links to help your student maintain and develop their fitness.  Hopefully your child will want to get out and exercise every day!

Check back for more PE lessons in the days ahead.

Health lessons have been completed by most of the classes in the school.  Your child will know if they have already had health.  You may have seen The Great Body Shops come home.  If you are not sure, please check the health link for more information and electronic copies of the materials we use in health class.

The Great Body Shop

Many classes were able to complete health lessons for the year.  The students in the following classes are able to access the remaining lesson digitally in English or Spanish. I would encourage you to read and discuss each lesson as a family.  This is a great way to open the lines of communication for families to discuss a variety topics that are important for overall health.  Each lesson is designed to be grade based and age appropriate.
